All dance-wear must be ordered through Local Dance Wear Store or Online. Please use the stores listed below on our dress code page to ensure everyone is dressed properly for class.Order Now ![]() Arrive on time for dance class. When dancers arrive on time it allows them to get settled and focused, so they do not enter the class in a whirlwind. Often when parents bring their little ones to class late, the child feels overwhelmed. This is because they don’t have time to get used to their surroundings. We have seen the most easy-going kids have a meltdown just because they were rushed into their dance class late. When dancers show up late, it is disruptive to everyone. Class always starts their off with a warm-up. Without this time, your dancer may have more trouble staying focused and engaged.Sure, sometimes it is challenging to arrive on time given our busy, modern lives. However, the importance of your little one having a chance to settle in can’t be stressed enough. You wouldn’t want your dancer to confuse fun and exciting new environment with an overwhelming one just because they did not have enough time to get used to it. Waiting to enter the dance class. Dancers should wait outside the classroom until the teacher invites students in to begin dance class. Pre-dance, please wait with mom or dad in the lobby. Never leave your dancer unattended in the lobby. Level 1, 2, 3 & 4 please wait for class in the locker room. Please have your dancer ready for class with leotard, tights and ballets on. Dancer’s hair should always up and away from the face in a bun or ponytail. Locker Room Please DO NOT Enter the Dancers Locker Room while in the Dance Factory’s Lobby. This is for the dancers ONLY! Water breaks in dance classes. Please send your dance with a resealable bottle of water to class. ![]() Parent involvement during dance classesParents should not be entering the class without being asked by the teacher or giving comments/feedback to their dancers during it. It can be very distracting to the student and affect their attitude. Waving and knocking on the windows is very disruptive to the entire class. If you have any suggestions, questions, or comments, please talk to your teacher or dancer after the dance class. (No, your dancer cannot see who is in the window, but they can see shapes of someone waving or jumping around) Parents stay outside the dance classes. We ask that you stay out of the studio room when class is in session. When kids are 3 or older, they tend to focus and have better attitudes when parents watch from a distance. Explain to your dancer in advance that they are in a big kids’ class and tell them where you will be. This way, they won’t get any surprises and will feel more comfortable knowing where you are. Restrooms is not available for our lobby observers/ guest while class is in session! Distractions in dance classes Dancers should not be bringing anything into a dance class that will be distracting to the learning environment such as toys or accessories. These only end up causing more problems and sometimes tears if the teacher has to take them away from the dancer. In My Dance Bag Ballet shoes, Tap Shoes, water bottle. |
Monthly Tuition Late Fee Reminder All tuition payments are due the first class of each month and no later than the 10th. Tuition covers a month of classes and remains the same whether there is 3, 4, or 5 weeks in a month. Any account more than 15 days late will be subject to a $15.00 late fee. Locker Room / Studio Lobby / Studio Restroom• Take turns at the window as all guests would like to view • Limit of one guest per family, as we do not have a large lobby. • Be respectful to others with noise level • Please do not bang on the windows or tap (This is very disruptive to the entire class!) • Do Not let small children hang on the windowsill or stand on the coloring table. It is important to monitor your children’s progress and see the instructors interact with the dancers. Please keep in mind that dancers are very excited and can be easily distracted having guests watch through the windows. The staff appreciates your understanding. It is extremely helpful to the instructor to keep voices down while sitting in the lobby or office. Noise does travel into the dance rooms and the dancers feed off the energy outside of the door. Locker Room The studio locker room is for our dancer only. We ask that only dancers enter this room. It’s a safe place for our dancers to sit and get ready without being in the way of other classes and parents leaving. This also allows the dance to start to focus on their class. Assistants are available in the dress room to help your dancers with putting on and tying shoes. Studio Restroom Our studio restroom is NOT for waiting room guest/siblings while class is in session. If our studio door is closed class is in session and is not to be opened, please use the restroom before the start of class. Parents of young children please take your dancer to the restroom prior to the start of class. (Bathroom breaks are contagious with young children) Children/ Parents running into the dance room to use the restroom is very disruptive to our young dancers!!!Thank You! ![]() |
